It's All Happening

Over four years ago I watched a documentary about midwifery and birth that changed my life. Over the past 4 years I have spent two years working on pre-reqs for nursing school, the last two years in my nursing program. Last month I officially started my job as a new graduate RN on a tele floor. The final step in my goal is attending grad school to become a midwife. Last week I was accepted to the University of Illinois. I know this is a cheesy picture and it wasn't necessarily new today, but it has been on my mind. We have been daydreaming about our new house, our new neighborhood. I have been shopping for winter jackets and winter boots, a new laptop, a new bag for school. It is exciting and scary to think about moving to a new city.

I collect postcards and am a member of Postcrossing, an international postcard sharing site. This is what I received today from a high schooler in Poland. Plans for the day: catch up on bad TV, including Bones, run and/or gym, clean the house a little bit and dinner with friends.

Halloween has come and gone. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Unfortunately, this year I was in too much of a funk to really enjoy it. Always next year. This pic is from my office window.
